Akinshola Akintilo is a highly experienced Information Security professional with a strong educational background. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Cybersecurity & Forensic at the University of Salford in the UK, further
enhancing his expertise in the field.

In addition to his academic achievements, Akinshola has obtained several certifications, including ITIL Service Management Version 3, Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA), COBIT 5 Foundation Certificate, Certified Data Privacy Solution Engineer, Certified in Risk and Information System Control (CRISC), Certified Information System
Auditor (CISA), Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), and Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), among others.

Throughout his career, Akinshola has held key positions in reputable organizations. He currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Parallex Bank. Prior to this, he was the Chief Information Security Officer at the Payment Service Company of Nigeria, a subsidiary of Access Bank Plc. At Access Bank Plc, he also held the role of Unit Head of Security Policy, Governance & Compliance in the Information & Cybersecurity Group. In these positions, Akinshola led cybersecurity advisory services, conducted maturity assessments, and played a vital role in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture. He executed information security projects, such as
vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, ensuring the bank’s infrastructure remained secure.

Earlier in his career, Akinshola worked at Unity Bank Plc, where he served as the Head of the Network & End User Support Department. In this role, he managed a team of specialists, overseeing infrastructure, IT security, and support functions. Akinshola implemented strategic plans for information security initiatives, validated security
configurations, and played a critical role in addressing security issues in IT projects.

Akinshola has been involved in various projects throughout his career, including the implementation of Cisco Network Access Control, deployment of data loss prevention solutions, and NDPR audits. He led teams in the deployment of identity and access management systems, integration of banking solutions, and implementation of network access control and monitoring solutions.

With his extensive experience, certifications, and dedication to information security, Akinshola continues to contribute significantly to the field, ensuring the protection of critical assets and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information for the organizations he serves.
